Adolfo Raya Jr

Adolfo Raya Jr., 38, passed away on January 12, 2024 in Wasco, CA. He was born on October 14, 1985 in Bakersfield, CA to Adolfo Raya Villagomez and Maria Raya Lule.

Adolfo grew up in Wasco, CA. He graduated from Wasco Union High School in Wasco, CA in 2003. After high school he completed some college education at Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield. Adolfo worked for Primex Farms as an Assistant Manager where he worked for 12 years.

Adolfo married San Juana Raya in 2010 in Fresno, CA. They were happily married for 13 years. Adolfo enjoyed spending time with his family. His family meant the world to him. He was a devoted father who cared for his children. He liked to barbecue while listening to his favorite music or playing with his children. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite team the 49ers. He also enjoyed making others laugh. His sense of humor and loving personality will be missed. 

Adolfo is survived by his spouse, daughter, sons, parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Adolfo was preceded in death by his grandmother Maria Vilagomez and grandfather Salvador Raya.

A visitation will be held at Basham & Lara Funeral Care, 343 State Ave., Shafter, CA 93263 at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024. Funeral services will begin with Holy Mass on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1300 9th Pl., Wasco, CA 93280. Burial will follow the funeral at Wasco Cemetery, 300 Leonard Ave., Wasco, CA 93280.
