Alberta Suell was born January 15, 1934, to Willia/Will and Ida Suell in Star City, Arkansas. Alberta was one of ten children born to the union of seven boys and three girls.

Alberta attended school in Arkansas where she met Aaron Briggs, to that union in Arkansas six children were born, they later moved to Fresno, California where the other six children were born.

Alberta and Aaron eventually separated.

Alberta moved to Bakersfield, California splitting up their children. Alberta worked in the nursery field to raise her children, and later accepting the other half of her children to be with her. She retired from her nursing career and fell off.

Her children are, Allen Briggs (Vencie), Aaron Briggs Jr., Johnny Lee Briggs, Shirley Briggs-Adams (Sam), Glennis Briggs, Flora Briggs Morgan and (James/Ricky), Joyce Briggs Smith (Curtis), Marilyn Briggs Littlejohn (Tyrone), Dwight Briggs, Carolyn Briggs, David Briggs (Balinda) and Kevin Burns. Alberta left a legacy that spans five generations.

Alberta is proceeded in death by her parents, Will and Ida Suell, seven brothers, Warren (Buck) Yack, John Suell, Gilbert Suell, Curlee Suell, Oliver Suell, Curtis Suell and William/ W.C Suell; two sisters, Isabelle Suell (Petty) and Ruby Suell (West); three children, Johnny Lee Briggs, Joyce Briggs and Dwight Briggs.

She leaves to cherish her memory Allen Briggs, Aaron Briggs Jr., Shirly Adams, Glennis Briggs, Flora Morgan, Marilyn Littlejohn, Carolyn Briggs, David Briggs and Kevin Burns, 125 + grands, great-grands, great-great grands and more, as well as one special God daughter Earnestine Martin a good family friend Shirley Wells and a host of nieces, nephews, and many long-time family friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to grace her presence.
