Daniel Leland Santana Landeros

Daniel Landeros age 43, passed away on 09/18/2023 in Bakersfield, CA.  Daniel was born on September 18th 1980 in Bakersfield, CA to Marcos Landeros and Sheri Dishman.  

Daniel was a Bakersfield native who graduated high school from Highland High School in 1999.  Daniel went on to attend Bakersfield College as well as University of California Los Angeles, majoring in Sociology.  Daniel passed along his passion for Sociology by becoming a professor of Sociology for Portland Community College.  In his continued love of knowledge Daniel had been accepted to begin work on his PhD.

In addition to his love of knowledge Daniel was an avid activist.  Daniel fought tirelessly for the civil rights of those whose voices aren’t heard. Daniel was also extremely involved in both political campaigns and various political causes.

In his personal life Daniel met his long-term partner Albert in May 2016 in Bakersfield, CA.  They were inseparable from the moment they met and remained in a happy and committed relationship until Daniel’s passing in September.

Daniel is survived by his partner Albert Bravo, father Marcos Landeros, sister Lisa Cruz and niece Anglina-Marie Ramos-Saucedo.  Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Sheri Dishman.
