Esperanza Ruiz Montoya

Esperanza Ruiz Montoya was born on December 11, 1956, in Bakersfield, CA to Petra Sandoval and Bernard Ruiz. Esperanza was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and godmother.  She loved her family unconditionally and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Esperanza worked at Calcot for 28 years from 1980-2008 as a bulk handler/cotton inspector.  She was married to Greg Montoya, Jr. and had four wonderful children, Grace, Greg, Gene and Gary, that were her pride and joy. Esperanza loved dancing, music, tending to her plants, cooking, baking, watching the Olympics, ice skating, but most of all spending time with her family.
Esperanza’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who love and miss her.  Survivors include her sisters, Rosa Valdez, and Alicia Ruiz. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Petra Sandoval, brothers, Joe Baltier, Salvador Ruiz, Richard Ruiz and sisters, Manuela Sanchez, Sarah Gonzales, and Victoria Ruiz.
