Henry Eugene Santa Cruz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Henry E. Santa Cruz on March 14, 2023. Our father left us far too soon. He was surrounded by those he loved when the Lord took him home. It is with great joy that we can say that his son led him to the Lord. Henry held many titles: son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. Henry attended Foothill High School where he was a football player and he worked for the City of Bakersfield but retired from Taco Bell after twenty plus years. Henry was born in Bakersfield California to Henry and Teresa Santa Cruz on April 20, 1959 along with his sisters Theresa and Francise and brothers Alfred and Mario. Henry is preceded in death by his loving parents and sister Francise. Henry left a living legacy with his children Henry, Angelina and Sabrina. Grandchildren Destiny, Daniel, Andrea, Lisa, Paul, Jose, Elijah, Carlos, Henry, William, Raul, Jose, Alex, Raymond, Joshua, Analia. Great grandchildren Jeremiah, Jacqueline, Leilani, Surena, Neveah, Mia, Levi, Isaiah, Dulce, Aubrey, Raul. Henry loved many sports but his favorite was football and his team was the Las Vegas Raiders. He loved to barbecue and spend time with his family. Our family lost an important member and sadly we will feel this lost for a long time. To honor Henry's memory we will be holding a celebration of life March 31st at Basham Funeral Care 3312 Niles Street at 5:00 p.m We invite those who knew him or know his children and wish to support them to attend and celebrate his life with us.
