Irma Rocha

Irma Rocha passed away on October 5^th, 2022, at her home in Wasco, CA surrounded by her loved ones.  She was 48 years old, born on December 16^th, 1973, in Fresno, CA. to Pedro and Graciela Magaña.

Irma grew up in Wasco, CA, graduating from Wasco High School in 1991.  Upon graduation of high school, Irma began working at Paramount Farming Co.   She married her high school sweetheart, Jesus Rocha on October 24^th, 1992, in Bakersfield, CA.  They would have celebrated their 30^th Anniversary this year.  In 1995 Irma and son Chris moved to Norfolk, VA where they lived while Jesus served in the U.S. Navy from 1992-1996. In 1996 they returned to CA and Irma went to work at Paramount Farms Inc. She held several positions there, the longest as Customer Service Supervisor where her gift for people served her well for many years.  She was last employed with Kern County Superintendent of Schools/Self Insured Schools of California as a Benefit Technician Assistant, working with a loving group of friends.

 Irma enjoyed being a football, baseball and softball mom attending her children’s games near and far, the distance never mattered. She loved spending time babysitting her new grandson, Xavier.  This was her “me time”.   Irma also enjoyed being part of the Relay for Life for 16 years, it was a yearly family event. 

Irma is survived by her husband Jesus Rocha of Wasco, CA, her son Cristobal Rocha of Woodland Hills, CA, daughter Victoria Rocha of Lamont, CA, son Joel Rocha of Wasco, CA; grandson Xavier Mendivil; Father Pedro Magaña Melgoza of Wasco, CA; sisters Gabriela M Solis (husband Marcelo Reyes Solis) of Wasco, Ca, Maria Montecino (husband Joe Montecino) of Bakersfield and many nieces and nephews.

Irma was proceeded in death by her mother Graciela H Magaña in 2006.

A funeral service will be held at Westside Family Fellowship 2150 Palm Ave., Wasco, CA.  Visitation will on October 20^th, 2022, from 5 – 8PM family will be greeting friends and relatives at this time.  Service on Friday, October 21^st, 2022, at 12:30PM, following burial at Wasco Memorial Park at 300 Leonard Ave., Wasco, CA.
