Jackie Lee Clark, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on March 15, 1936, in Republic, Missouri, Jackie lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, support, and adventure.
Jackie proudly served as a USAF Chief Master Sergeant for 33 years, followed by 11 years of civil service. After retiring, he settled in Bakersfield in 1996, where he enjoyed traveling in his RV and spending time at his beloved Cabin, “Clarkenridge.” A loving father to Mark (Patricia), Michael (Michelle), and Susan (Tim).
Jackie was always supportive of his children's passions, whether it was motocross, or ballet. He was a constant presence at their events, cheering them on with pride. Jackie's family expanded to include 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He was also preceded in death by the two loves of his life, Deanna Peterson and Coral Spencer Poole. Jackie's mother, Joanna Clark, and stepfather, Loarn Ottendorf, played an important role in shaping his life. His love for adventure and the great outdoors was inspired by his family's travels and explorations.
In memory of Jackie Lee Clark, we celebrate his life, his love, and his legacy. May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in the memories they shared with him. Please join the family to celebrate Jackie's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wreaths Across America (wreathsacrossamerica.org), reflecting his dedication to supporting fellow service members.
