Julio Martinez

Julio Martinez, age 61, of Bakersfield passed away on December 28,2023, with his family by his side.

Julio was born in El Paso Texas on February 13, 1962. He was a devoted father, loving son, amazing brother, and loyal friend. Julio loved sports, especially football. His favorite team was the 49ers. He loved watching his team with a beer.

Afterwards he would call his brother and talk about the game. Julio was always there for his family and friends. He would always help with home projects and would never complain. He loved his music and dancing cumbia. Julio had 15 grandchildren which were his pride and joy. He was deeply loved by his nieces and nephews. Julio's love and loyalty will remain in our hearts forever.

Julio is survived by his 3 daughters: Lisa Martinez of El Paso Texas, Julie & Emilio Jara of Bakersfield Ca, Andrea Martinez & Tom Avila of Bakersfield Ca. Mother Maria R Martinez of Modesto Ca. 3 Brothers. Manuel Martinez of Bakersfield Ca, Serigo Martinez, Art Martinez of Modesto Ca.

He is preceded in heaven by his father Eduardo Martinez (Lalo), sister Emma Martinez, brother Eduardo Marinez Jr. (Eddie).

Visitation services will be held on Friday January 26,2024 at Basham Funeral Care,

3312 Niles Street, Bakersfield Ca. 93306. The service time will be from 9am-12pm.

The rosary will be held at 11:00am at the same location. (Basham) Followed by a Mass at San Clemente Mission 1305 Water St. Bakersfield Ca. 93305 at 1:00pm.
