She passed in her sleep with family by her side. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family and friends. She lived a long and beautiful life and in many different areas. But Bakersfield was truly her hometown, and nothing else compared to it in her eyes.She was always happy to help anyone in need with a kind word, words of advice, something to eat, or simply just being there to listen. She was grateful and appreciative for her family and friends and loved them all very much.She discovered that she was an excellent artist at the age of 82, while living in Oregon. She felt blessed to find an art instructor in Bakersfield: Ms. Norma Payne. And true to her nature, they became dear friends for life.She was preceded in death by her husband's Pedro Hernandez and Agustin Zarate. She is survived by her 7 children: Pedro, Isabel, Rosemary, Steven, Randy, Tom, and Jose; 5 brothers and sisters, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her ever-present smile and laugh will be missed by everyone.
