Martin Ramon Rosales passed away in the comfort of his home on December 5, 2022. He was born on July 25, 1939 to Don and Guadalupe Maria Rosales. Martin grew up in Bakersfield, California and graduated from BHS in 1958. He played the baritone saxophone in the BHS band. In the early 1960’s he played in a rock n roll and Latin-based band called the Gaylads. They recorded a couple of songs with Ronnie Cook named Goo Goo Muck and The Scotch. They also performed back up for Brenda Lee on one of her recordings! He worked many years for Mobil Oil/Aera Energy as a pusher then moving up to a supervisory position and finally retired after 40 years. While working for Aera Energy, he was instrumental in the development of the Co-generation process of power plants in the Kern County oilfields. Martin had 3 children from a previous marriage, Martin, Maria, and Anisa whom he loved dearly! Martin and his wife Lupe have known each other since their high school years, they started dating in 1971, and got married in 1986. This year they celebrated 50 years of love. Martin is survived by his loving wife Lupe Rosales. His children Martin A. Rosales Maria Prince, Anisa and husband Paul Melvin. His stepchildren Corinne and husband Manuel Monsibais, Sal and wife Cindy Ortiz. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother Nestor Rosales, sister Dolly and husband Manuel Barrera. Martin was preceded in death by his parents Don and Guadalupe Maria Rosales, his sisters Evelyn and Roberta, brothers Don and Daniel.
