Moses Magdaleno Tovar

Moses M. Tovar, 46, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2016. Moses was born on October 19, 1969 in Bakersfield, CA to Rev. Magdaleno and Josephine Tovar. He grew up in Bakersfield, CA. Moses was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the Bakersfield Apostolic Assembly Church. Moses was a kind, caring and loving person. Moses will be remembered for his sense of humor that would have everyone laughing. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved helping in the kitchen. Cooking was always one of his passions. He enjoyed helping the Men's Group at Bakersfield Apostolic Church in their cooking fundraisers. Moses was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved volunteering at the Bakersfield Mission. Moses always had a love for sports; he was a faithful 49ers fan. Moses is survived by his brothers; Abel and wife Sara, Joshua and wife Ana, and Jeremiah Tovar. Sisters; Sylvia Green and husband Roland; Eunice Ramirez and husband Isaac and Elvira Tovar; Grandmother Juanita Hernandez, "Nana" and numerous nieces and nephews. Moses is preceded in death by his parents; Rev. Magdaleno and Josephine, brother, Samuel and sisters Noemi and Ruby. Moses you were taken too soon from us, but we know that we will see you again. You will never be forgotten, you will forever remain in our hearts.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St.) from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. The Funeral service will be held Friday, March 11, 2016, at Mt.
