Ricardo Acosta Lopez, affectionately known as Ricky, passed away on December 28, 2024. Ricky was a beloved son, fiancé, father, brother, and friend whose life touched so many. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on October 23, 1985, in Bakersfield, California, Ricky spent his entire life in the city he loved. A devoted family man, Ricky was engaged to Amanda and the proud father of nine children: Ricky, Isaiah, Tony, Eli, Brianna, Faith, Chloe, Daisey, and Maximo. His children were his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Ricky had an infectious personality, known for his humor and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He was outgoing, kind-hearted, and always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day. Ricky was a loving brother who always thought about others, showing his care and compassion in countless ways. As a child, Ricky loved playing video games and playing outside with his three brothers. Ricky was a dedicated fan of WWE wrestling and the San Francisco 49ers. He was also an active member of his church community, where his faith and compassion were evident. He was a skilled BBQer, and family gatherings were made special by his delicious cooking and warm and humorous presence. Ricky is survived by his fiancé Amanda, his nine children, his parents, paternal grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his cousin Julian. Ricky’s legacy is love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
