Rickey Lynn Early, Jr.

Rickey Early passed away on April 4, 2023. Rickey was born on February 7, 1972 to Rickey and Letha Early in Bakersfield, CA. Rickey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother nephew and friend. Rickey’s heart was huge, and he would never miss an opportunity to step up and help someone when needed. Rickey loved riding his motorcycle and playing with his dogs, but nothing gave his greater happiness then just being around family. Growing up, Rickey was the only boy in his family of six kids and he shared a special bond with his mom, calling every day just to let her know he loved her. Life was not always easy for him, but his example of overcoming obstacles was something to be admired.
Rickey was preceded in death by his father Rickey Lynn Early, Sr., grandparents Joseph and Hazel Early and Ira and Wanda Payne.
He is survived by his wife Rose Miller, his son Cody Wayne Early, and his grandson Liam Early, his mom and stepdad Letha and Art Gonzalez, his sisters Laura Villali (Mel), Angela Gonzalez, Athena Cardona (Domingo), Teresa Gonzalez (Victor), Cathy Zuniga (Raul) all of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by a very large extended family consisting of many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rickey’s absence is felt by his entire family but we hold close to our hearts the promise that we will one day see him again.
