Robert Ochoa's Obituary
On March 29, 2024, Robert Ochoa Sr beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away peacefully at the age of 69, at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center surrounded
by the love of his family.
Robert was born June 8, 1954, in San Jose De Tuitan, Durango Mexico to Fidel Ochoa & Gregoria Corral. At the age of 19, Robert moved to the United States, taking up residence in Plaza Marina, Wasco, and Shafter. He worked for Golden State Drilling as a mechanic where he was employed for 20+ years. Robert enjoyed working on cars, fishing, barbecuing, listening to music, hanging out with friends, telling stories, and mowing his lawn. Those who got to know
Robert were very fortunate. In more recent years, Robert made the choice to move back to
Mexico, in Ensenada where he later spent the remainder of his life.
Robert will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel Ochoa and Gregoria Corral, and granddaughter Arlene Marie Ochoa.
Robert is survived by his former wife Maria Ochoa, children and their spouses Robert
Ochoa Jr, Aida Duran (Juan Carlos Duran), Carlos Ochoa (Theresa Beaver), Jacquelin Corral (James Lara), Selena Uribe (Jose Uribe), Eric Ochoa, Alejandro Ochoa, grandchildren, Valeria, Hugo, Carlos Jr, Angel, Isaac, Arianna, Ellie, Noah, Robert III, Dominik, Mila, Zoe, Zaide, Areli, and Emilia, great grandchildren, Faith, Arlene, Skylar, and Vivi J, siblings, and numerous
Please join us in honor of our Dad and celebrate his life. Visitation will be held at
Basham Funeral Care (343 State Ave, Shafter, CA) from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, April 8,
2024. Funeral services will take place at St. Therese Catholic Church from 10:00 am - 10:45 am (300 W Lerdo Hwy, Shafter, CA), followed by graveside services Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from
11:15 am - 12:15 pm at Shafter Memorial Park (18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter, CA).
Dad, we cannot believe you are no longer with us, but we take comfort in knowing you are no longer sick, but whole again in God's arms. We will miss you for the rest of our lives, but will continue to hold you in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, we love you. Rest easy Dad!
