Sammy grew up on the East Side of Bakersfield where he could always be found with friends or
family bumping music, eating, and having a good time. Sammy was a man of many trades. He
worked in different odd jobs, enjoying the variety of life. Sammy’s hobbies included football,
eating, and spending time with his family. His favorite team was the Raiders. Anywhere he went
he represented. He also loved to eat. Whether it was going out or staying in, Sammy made sure
everyone was included and full. Anyone who knew Sammy, knew that he was kind, caring, and
loving. As Sammy got older, he exemplified what it means to be a family man. Sammy was
always making sure his family and friends were taken care of no matter the sacrifice. He was a
go-getter, “Ill make it happen” kind of man. He loved his best friends as if they were family,
accepted their kids as his own, and made sure they were loved and taken care of. Sammy will be
immensely missed more than words can say.
