Vera Ramos

Vera Frances Vega-Ramos, Born to Lorenzo Ramos (smiley) and Rita Ramos on July 1st, 1931. She was mother to Alfred Soto Gonzalez Jr , Carmella Gonzales-Gurrola, and Michael Frank Gonzales. Vera was mother to Alfred Soto Gonzales Jr., Carmella Gurrola and Michael Frank Gonzales. Vera is survived by her daughter Carmella and husband Frank Gurrola, brother (cousin) in love Richard Lee Vega and daughter in love Netty Gonzales. She passed away quietly Wednesday May 17, 2023, at the age of 91. She was proceeded in death by her parents Lorenzo and Rita Vega, sister’s Beatrice Fay Ramos, Fay Ramos, and son’s Alfred S. Gonzales, and Michael Frank Gonzales. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Bakersfield, California surrounded by family and close friends. She was known for her spunkiness and being a spit ball of fire. Her personal passion at every opportunity was to live life to the fullest. She took a Cruise to Ensenada and Hawaii. Vera loved to go to the Casinos, rode on the back of a motorcycle, and sky dived at the age of 90. Vera worked for Transonic in the late 60’s making coils for airplanes and jets. She also worked for Sam Wu Laundry in the 1950’s. She also worked for Sparkles Cleaners as an inspector, she loved to clean and especially organize. She was faithful in all her occupations. Her last employment was cleaning law offices and she continued to work up to May of 2023 at the vibrant age of 91. Vera will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Vera’s family asks that she be remembered for the liveliness she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and so many relatives and friends.
