Ivan Ronald Ward, 73 passed away on August 13, 2020 at home in Bakersfield, California. He was born on January 29, 1947 in Arkansas to Ivan Bryant ward and Nobie Sally Turner.
Ivan married Beverly Johnson in 1966 in Bakersfield, California. They were happily married for 45 years. Ivan enjoyed fishing, camping, working on cars, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Ivan is survived by his children; his brother Don, (and wife Irene) Ward of Arkansas; his grandchildren Robert, Brittney, Tony, Tommy, Olivia, Abigail, Little Ronny, Cody, Jacob, Samuel, and Matthew; his great grandchildren Brayden, Cayden, McKenzie, McKaylie, Andy, Brentley, Dakota, Nikolai, and Elijah; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Nobie, siblings Tommy, and Josephine, and his wife Beverly.
A funeral service will be held at Basham and Lara funeral care, 343 State Ave., Shafter, CA 93263 at 10am-12:30pm, August 20, 2020. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 10am, August 20, 2020. Burial will follow the funeral at Shafter cemetery at 1pm.
